So, does she still blog???

I bet that's what most of you are thinking... cause I haven't posted in quite some time... partly do to all the chaos of moving, but it mostly has to do with my laziness.  Sorry :/  Rock Springs has been... interesting.  Some good, some not so good... but always interesting!

a wee bit of an update....

I once had a goal... a goal to update this sucker about once a week to share on the small tidbits of our lives before I forgot them and felt extremely overwhelmed trying to do it monthly.  And here I am, about a month later feeling overwhelmed by all that is going on in our lives, and fearing forgetting something oh-so-adorable or oh-so-important.  I know I'll be omitting one crucial detail - the adorable Jack photos...

our adventurous April

We've had quite the adventurous month of April... You ready to hear all about it?  Oh, it's a doozy!  I don't know how I've been able to stand not sharing how great this month has been.... cause it hasn't.  We've been SiCk!!!  That's right!  For most of the month, we have had the plague descend on our home and it has caused us a lot of holing up and coughing and hacking, and snot - LOTS of snot.  I blame the kid... it's not his fault entirely, due to the fact that he's still working on the immune system and all. 

It all started with a fun trip to Green Canyon,

Month 8 is upon us & Jack has turned into the best playmate EVER!  Of course, I'm a wee bit biased being his mom and so far his only consistent play mate.  I love that he has been following me around the house since he's learned to crawl... he's still a bit slow & it takes him some time to catch up, but it's so cute when I'm putting his clothes away in  his room and I hear "da da da... da da da..." getting closer and closer to where I'm at.  Of course, as his speed increases the less harmless this will be ergo my speed will need to increase.

He is a jibber jabbering all the time now.  Lots of practice on his volume control as well... this is most of what I hear "Da da da la la ba ba BA!! La da da da..da da da ba la la la..da da da DA DA LA!!! La la la badala ba la la" It's so nice to have a two-way conversation, even if we both have no clue what the other is saying.  This has only happened in the last week so church will be interesting as we had general conference this weekend.  I teach in primary to the 10-11yr old kids and Jack is usually a saint, often using him as an example of what being reverent is.... oh well.

We're just a bunch of movers and shakers around here....

The Parkinson Clan has had an exciting development... Jack has begun to crawl!

SO - I am completely overwhelmed with the catching up business of this blog 'cause this girl is WAAAAAAY behind... I'm going to follow the advice of my very cool friend Natalie and just try to share more smaller stuff, instead of one big huge posting that inevitably leaves me to miss something.  Here I go, going to do my best...
